Committee Descriptions
- Assist with coordinating topics & instructors for continuing education courses.
- Provide in person & online opportunities for continuing education.
- 6 per year – alternate with programs/luncheons.
- Survey membership to determine the best training topics for commercial real estate professionals.
- Gather details about each course including title, outline & instructor.
- Inform featured sponsors of their benefits as promised by benefits brochure.
- Assist with filing TREC paperwork for instructors & course materials.
- Assist with onsite coordination such as registration, instructor introductions, refreshments, sponsor coordination and administrative paperwork.
- Work with Texas REALTORS to add courses to their website and promote by email as needed.
- Assist with developing our legislative agenda and addressing issues affecting property rights & commercial real estate.
- Educate and inform REALTOR members on key legislative issues with calls to action and newsletter articles, etc.
- Monitor local, state & national legislative issues to share information with members.
- Provide articles of interest for newsletter and social media
- Promote TREPAC fundraising & promotion to reach yearly goals (member donations, dues renewals, silent auctions, special events, etc).
- Coordinate with a Major Investor, the Special Events Committee, & TREPAC to organize a silent auction.
- Luncheons
- Stay connected with relevant issues by scheduling informative topics & speakers for our luncheon programs
- 4 per year
- Coordinate speaker’s information such as title for program, description for marketing purposes, bio for introduction, presentation materials.
- Provide onsite hospitality for speakers & their guests.
- The goal of this committee are to increase overall attendance to meet the needs of the membership.
Education (Property) Exchange
- Assist with finding speakers & topics for each event.
- 4-6 per year– typically second Wednesday or Thursday during lunch time.
- Locations to be determined by committee.
- Collect information from speakers including title description of program.
- Conduct property information exchange after presentation.
Special Events
- Assist with planning networking events including, happy hour/socials (2), joint holiday party (1).
- Creative ideas for fun, trendy venues with accessible parking is encouraged.
- Contact venues to determine availability, minimum guarantee, parking/valet situation, drink tickets to track consumption, heavy appetizers, consider tax & gratuity added to food & beverage.
- Average attendance of 60 real estate professionals.
- Plan event 60 days in advance for time to market.
- Coordinate dates of events with the Association Executive to avoid overlap with other events.
- Assist with promoting the event outside the normal channels for increased attendance.
- Assist with registration, set up and onsite coordination of special events as noted above.
- Organize & plan 2 community outreach events per year.
- Projects include hands-on opportunities & community drives to collect items.
- Promote the REALTOR brand to those within the community.
- Assist with consumer outreach activities so that we can meet our Core Standard as mandated by NAR (National Association of Realtors).
- All about membership benefits, growth, retention, and exposure.
- Identify brokerage houses that can benefit from REALTOR membership.
- Understand the broker / agent relationship necessary to become a REALTOR member.
- Survey membership to determine the benefits most important to them.
- Assist with registration at the luncheon programs held 4 times a year.
- Committee oversees the task of raising funds to support CTCAR functions.
- Contact existing partners to encourage them to renew for next year.
- Contact new partners that can benefit from advertising with CTCAR’s members.
- Review and enhance the current partner benefit package as needed.
- Monitor the program during the year to make sure partners receive their benefits promised.
- Forming alliances with Austin companies to support the organization’s financials goals.
